Serving children ages 0-18 in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area
We understand that children learn best when they are in a comfortable environment and to facilitate this, we come to you. Whether it is in the home, daycare, or a community playground.
We are about teaching children and supporting caregivers, who in return are best at helping their children learn and grow. We find out from you what you need to help your child.
We are sensitive to the fact that each child and their family are unique and we respond to these needs by providing individualized care to best support the progress of each child.
Pediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) can address many different developmental areas, for example helping a child learn skills that promote their independence, such as dressing, self-feeding, and self-soothing to sleep. Many OTs also assist children the ability to modulate their response to sensory information.
Pediatric Physical Therapy (PT) can address developmental skills that progress from the coordination of the large muscle groups. Initially it may be to address an infant's head control, then progresses to help a child learn to sit, and crawl. Physical Therapists also help adapt activities to promote participation and skill development of children with physical differences.
Pediatric Speech and Language Therapists (SLP) can address the early milestones that eventually help a child with communication. Many SLPs also work with infants, babies, and young children with feeding and swallowing skills.
In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we offer telehealth. Our therapists are trained to work with caregivers using a coaching method that works beautifully with telehealth. We also deliver services through a hybrid of direct and telehealth option. This has also been successful by having the therapist directly work with the client and then coach the caregiver through telehealth with follow-up.
